Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.
If you are on a regular medication you will be issued with a repeat prescription slip. This can be handed into the Medical Centre, Boots the Chemist at Fremington, Roundswell, Bideford or Barnstaple High Street, Lloyds Pharmacy at Sainsbury's or Tesco's Pharmacy at Taw View.
Please re-order by ticking each item required on the right hand slip of your prescription and also indicating from where you would like to pick up the prescription.
Alternatively, you can order your repeat prescription through SystmOnline.
You will need to register with SystmOnline to use this service. To register, please ask at Reception for an 'Application for Online Services' form or print one from the 'New Patients' tab at the top of the screen. You will need to attend the surgery in person, along with the completed form and photographic ID.
Telephone requests for medications are not accepted as these may result in errors.
You may email your prescription requests via our dedicated prescription email address email@example.com
Prescriptions will be available from the surgery within 2 working days or will arrive at the pharmacy within 3 working days.
The Doctor and Clinical Pharmacist will carry out a regular review of your medication and you may be asked to speak with, or see them before further prescriptions are issued.
As a Practice we have tried to rationalise our prescribing by the use of a formulary. This means that only certain drugs are prescribed in this Practice. This allows the Doctors to have far more experience in the uses and problems associated with a limited number of drugs.
It may be that at your new patient medical your drug therapy will be reviewed and altered to bring you in line with the Practice Prescribing Policy. Any change of medication does involve a period of uncertainty, through which you will be supported.
